Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") sets out the content and conduct that are prohibited on the Service. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
Analytics scripts can be misused to watch people, and crawlers to probe other people's websites. This Policy exists to keep Nodium's counting and its checks safe for every visitor and every website they touch, and applies to every website, request, message and check made through the Service.
1. Websites and the Analytics Script
You may not:
- install the analytics script on, or add to the Service, a website you do not own or control;
- use the Service on a website that requests passwords, payment card numbers or government identification numbers under false pretenses, impersonates another business, a bank, a government body or any other person, or exists to deceive the people who visit it;
- use the Service to collect information from visitors beyond what it is designed to collect, to identify individual visitors, or to read what anyone types into a form; or
- circumvent the Service's limits, spam checks or security measures, or automate requests to it.
2. The Checks
You may not use the free site check, or any other part of the Service, to probe, load-test or attack a website, to reach pages that are not public, or to read a website whose owner has not allowed it.
3. Unlawful and Harmful Content
You may not use the Service on a website that publishes content that is unlawful, harassing or hateful, or that links to malware, or use the Service to send such content.
4. Monitoring and Detection
- Requests to the Service, to the free site check and to our support form are limited per network address, and each is checked for spam.
- Everything else we review is reported to us; a person reads every report.
5. Reporting Violations
- Anyone may report a website using Nodium by writing to abuse@usenodium.com, or with the report form.
- We review every report within one day.
- Where people may be at risk, we stop counting for the website immediately while we investigate.
6. Enforcement
If a website breaks this Policy, we tell its owner why and ask them to put it right. If they don't, or if violations are repeated, we may close the account; where people are at risk, we may close it at once. Its owner can still export their data first, unless the law prevents it.
7. Appeals
If you believe we acted on your website or account in error, reply to the email we sent or write to support@usenodium.com. A person reviews every appeal within one day.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above and the changelog reflect the most recent revision.
