Nodium and Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and visits without cookies, from a snippet on your pages. Nodium counts visitors, reads your own forms, and checks your pages every week. Here's where they differ.
Facts checked on October 23, 2026, each against its source. Every number links to where it came from.
Side by side
| What | Nodium | Cloudflare Web Analytics | Better at this |
|---|---|---|---|
| Counting without cookies | No cookies and nothing stored on the device. A visitor is a daily key made from the IP address, the browser and your site, and the IP address is never stored.1 | No cookies or local storage, and no fingerprinting of visitors.2 | About even |
| Visitors | Visitors, each one device on one day, besides visits and pageviews.3 | Visits and page views. A visit is a page view that came from another site or a direct link.4 Its metrics page defines visits and page views, and we didn't find a unique-visitor count there. | Nodium |
| How far back | A 12-month view, from each day's totals, which are kept for 3 years.6 | The previous six months.5 | Nodium |
| Campaign links | Read from the link's utm_source and utm_campaign tags, as sources and campaigns.3 | UTM tags aren't supported yet, because query strings aren't logged.5 | Nodium |
| Form analysis | Reads each form on your own site field by field, never what anyone types: who saw it, who started it, who sent it (where your site shows a send), the field where people stop and the fields the form marked wrong. Nothing to set up.7 | Custom events aren't supported yet.5 We didn't find form tracking on Cloudflare's pages. | Nodium |
| Insights in plain English | “What we noticed”: insights from written rules, each with how it was counted. No AI.8 | We didn't find this on Cloudflare Web Analytics's pages. | Nodium |
| Search, speed and accessibility checks | Weekly search, speed and accessibility checks, with a fix list.9 | We didn't find this on Cloudflare Web Analytics's pages. It measures page speed from real visitors.10 | Nodium |
| Email reports | A Monday email with the week's figures, notes and fixes.11 | A weekly summary of visits, page views and median load time, across all your sites together.12 | Nodium |
When to pick Nodium
Pick Nodium if you want to know how your forms do, not only how many pages loaded. It counts visitors, keeps your campaign tags, reads your forms for you, and writes a few insights and a weekly list of fixes.
